GATE imagines a world where all Black girls and women know the strength of our history and live with full knowledge of our power and potential.
The work of the Global Arts and Theology Experience is rooted in our active commitment to:
Honoring Diversity and Integrity: by embracing difference and naming the importance of being true to oneself as a demonstration of how we honor the power of God’s creation.
Engaging and Communalism: by engaging a global community of people committed to dismantling racism, sexism, hetero-aggression, cis-genderism and all systems that devalue the sanctity of human life.
Re-imagining of God: as one who sees, loves, and cares for all by promoting an inclusive and liberative theology.
Engaging the Arts: as a tool of expression that gives people the power to claim their identity and image a more just and equitable world.
We are always looking for people to get involved! Click below to learn more about different ways to make this possible through volunteering, joining our ministry, making a donation, or any other another idea you've been thinking about.
In you have questions about what we do or are looking to get involved, we would love to hear from you.
We couldn't do the work we do without support from people like you.
